Adelina Ismajli (her surname is also spelled
Ismaili) was born on 14 December 1979 in Priština,
Kosovo, Yugoslavia (now Serbia). She is one the
most popular female Albanian pop artists
throughout Albania, Kosovo, the Republic of
Macedonia and in the ethnic Albanian villages of
Malesia (in Montenegro).
Ismajli is best known for her controversial and
politically charged songs and lyrics, including
“Uragan Çohen Krenaret,” “Ne Kosove Luhet Kumore,”
and “Skenderbe.” She is also highly recognized as
a sex symbol for her outrageous and sexually
provocative videos and performances on Albanian
local television stations.
