Interview With Albanian Singer Ledi Vokshi From New York City

ALBANUR : Ledi Vokshi Can you tell us a little about yourself and where you are form?

Ledi Vokshi: an albanian-american singer from NYC born in Durres.

ALBANUR: How long have you been singing?

Ledi Vokshi: About 5 yrs ago I starded doing performances in high school and then decided to go to collage for music

ALBANUR: How long since you were a child did you kow you wanted to sing?

Ledi Vokshi: As long as I remember. I remember getting screamed at bc my mom would leave to get supplys for our store and id have to clean the house and when my mom would come home id be dancing to michale & jenat Jackson, olso to whitney Houston and there be water all over the house. The water made it easy for me to practice my performaces for when I was going to make it

ALBANUR: How is the response to your music in America?

Ledi Vokshi:Amazing im so impressed with the amount of fans that I have. Each day I meat more and more fans and I love it. U would be surprised when ppl stop me in the street and say omg and they start singin my songs and they tell me they’ve tell me I know u and afer a good stare they say ive seen ure pictures online or ure videos on tv. Just the other night I was in the bx for dinner and b4 I left a whole group of guys stoped me to just let me know that they have seen me and tv and that they loved the music

ALBANUR: You have a following in Albania and in New York...is their anywhere you would like to be known?

Ledi Vokshi:Anywhere where theres Albanian that’s important to me. Im very patriotic and Id like to bring the Albanian music and performances to a whole new level only if they let me

ALBANUR: Recently we have heard you are Red and Black Entertainment...what made this happen?

Ledi Vokshi:After me and Milot came to an agreement on the collab.. Red and black offered me to join the team. I had to agree bc I loved the team I was going to be working long long hrs with and that’s very important to know that even u work and u also make that team as ure new family.

ALBANUR: Their are now many singers coming out of Albania what sets you apart from them?

Ledi Vokshi:Singin is my life and that’s all im gonna make it. Its not a sceam to get rich or known is about doing what u love and I want this for a long time. I wanna sing until my last word coming out of my mouth.
I am differen because when my fans see me on stage they understand what im about the stage is where I breath free and my performace is very important to me to get the fans involved and make them feel that they are important to me

ALBANUR: A question for the men out there...are you single?

Ledi Vokshi:I do have a love and that is music then ther comes the other love

ALBANUR: Who is Ledi Vokshi's faviorte singer? who influenced you to want to get into music?

Ledi Vokshi:Merita halili cuz her voice will never age. My mom influenced me to become a singer bc that was what she wanted to be so at least she wanted to enjoy it through her doughter

ALBANUR: Any new music in the works?

Ledi Vokshi:Im woring on a hit collaberation with milot that will be out on his mixtape this month and im finishing up my album

ALBANUR: If you cold preform with any one in the world who would you want it to be?

Ledi Vokshi:I love artist bc everyone has diff style of music but I would love to performe at least one with all the known Albanian singers

ALBANUR: What would you classify your style as?

Ledi Vokshi:Unique I change styles everyday depending in the mood but it always has to have sexappeal

ALBANUR: Can we expect you in Prishtina any time soon for a live preformance? Maybe with Miot?

Ledi Vokshi:I have never been to prishtin or anywhere in kosove even thought my origins are from there. I would love to come for fun and of course to performe. Im wating for my incitations I thing it got lost in the mail hahah maybe ill come with milot that would be amazing
